Eski Türk inanç yapısı, Yenisey, Orhun ve Budizm öncesi Uygur kitabelerine dayanılarak ortaya konulmak zorunluluğundadır. Buna belli bir ölçüde Divanu Lügati’t-Türk ve İbn Fazlan’ın Seyahatnâmesi katkı sunabilir. Bir de, çoğunlukla tarafgir ve yabancı bir gözle değerlendirmelerde bulunmasına rağmen Çin Elyazmaları ender yardımcı kaynaklardan biri olarak karşımızda durmaktadır. Bütün bu kısıtlı kaynaklara titiz bir bakış açısıyla baktığımızda Eski Türk dininin, Türk hânedânı ve Türk karabudunu/ sıradan halkı meyânında farklı biçim ve derinlikte anlaşıldığı görülmektedir. Bu çerçevede, yüksek hânedân mensuplarının Tengricilik nitelemelerine uygun bir anlayışla inancı kabullendikleri; karabudunun yâni sıradan insanların ise, bir halk dîni biçiminde yaşadığı anlaşılmaktadırOrhun kitabelerinde karşılaşılacak en sık kullanılmış kavramlardan birisi Tanrı’dır. Anıtı diktirip sözlerini ebedi taşlara kazıtan kağan, Tanrı’yı her fırsatta anmakta, böylelikle de Tanrı-kağan ilişkisini ortaya koymaktadır. Orhun ve Yenisey yazıtları da Tanrı-kağanlık ilişkileri konusunda bize birinci elden bilgiler sunmaktadır. Tengri kitabelerin ve Yenisey mezar taşlarının muhtelif yerlerinde Tanrı, gök ve ilâhî-kutsal anlamlara gelecek şekillerde kullanılmıştır. Burada Kağan’ın Tanrı gibi kutsal olduğu, ya da farklı bir söyleyişle ve Tengrici anlayışla Kağanın Tanrı’dan olduğu da rahatlıkla ifade edilebilir. |

The old Turkish belief structures should be based on the Yenisey, Orkhon and pre-buddhistic Uighur scripts. To a certain extent, Divanu Lügati’t-Turk and the travel manuscripts of Ibn Fadlan could contribute to that issue. Furthermore; even though, the Chinese manuscripts often assert alienated observations and biased judgments, they should be accepted as a rare supporting resource. When these limited resources are considered with a through perspective, it can be seen that the old Turkish religion is perceived with different structures and depths in regard of the Turkish dynasty and the ordinary people respectively. Within this scope, it is understood that the belief the dynasty accept it as attribution stop an tengrisim while the ordinary people accept it as a public religion One of the most common terms encountered in Orkhon scripts is God, used frequently. The khan, who erects his monument and carves his words into stone, mentions about the God on alloccasions; thus the relationship between the God and the Khan is revealed. The scripts of Orkhun and Yenisey offers data about the relationship between the God and the Khan from primary sources. Tengri is used as signifiying the meaning such as God sky divine-holy in the various places of Orhkon inscriptions and Yenisey gravestone. Herein, the Khan is holy like the God; in otherwords with a perspective of Tengrisim, that the khan is from the God can be stated. Old Turks expressed the unity of God in the level of Khan and people as honouring him with every visible things |
