Teknolojinin gelişmesi, Yükseköğretim Kurumlarının gün geçtikçe sayılarının ve çeşitlerinin artması, bu kurumların verdiği eğitimdeki hizmet kalitesinin kıyaslanması, ulusal ve uluslararası tanınabilirliğini güçleştirmektedir. Bu tezde, ülkemizde farklı üniversite ve fakülte içinde yapılandırılmış Peyzaj Mimarlığı Anabilim Dallarında tamamlanan doktora tezlerinin, araştırma ve geliştirme, yöntem ve materyal, eğitim araçları, izleme ve değerlendirme gibi şekilsel ve içeriksel özellikleri irdelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, ülkemizde Peyzaj Mimarlığı Anabilim Dallarında tamamlanmış ve Yüksek Öğrenim Kurulu (YÖK)'nun Ulusal Tez Merkezinden izin alınabilen toplam 123 adet doktora tezi (2010 yılı ve sonrası), şekilsel ve içeriksel ölçütleri içeren değerlendirme formuna göre incelenmiş ve istatistiki açıdan frekans ve yüzde değerler belirlenmiş ve analiz edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, peyzaj mimarlığı doktora tezlerinde şekilsel ve içeriksel bazı eksiklikler ve yetersizlikler tespit edilmiştir. İncelenen doktora tezlerinde özellikle tez konularının danışman-öğrenci odaklı olarak belirlenmesi, son yıllarda doktora sayısında önemli azalmaların olduğu, tez konularının belli konularda (örneğin en fazla peyzaj planlama, turizm ve rekreasyon konusunda) yoğunlaştığı, tezde elde edilen bulguların başka kaynaklarla ilişkilendirme, tartışma ve yorumlamanın yetersiz olması vb. konular belirlenmiş ve çözüm önerileri getirilmiştir. The development of technology, increasing the number and types of higher education institutions day by day, comparing the service quality in the education provided by these institutions, make the national and international recognition difficult. In this thesis, the formal and contextual features of the doctoral theses, which are completed in different faculties and faculties in our country, in the departments of Landscape Architecture, research and development, methods and materials, educational tools, monitoring and evaluation were examined. In this study, a total of 123 doctoral theses (2010 and after), which can be obtained from the National Thesis Center of the Higher Education Platform (YÖK), have been examined in the Departments of Landscape Architecture in our country and examined according to the evaluation form including the formal and contextual criteria and the frequency and percentage of statistical. In this context, some formal and contextual deficiencies and insufficiencies have been identified in the doctoral thesis of landscape architecture. In the doctoral theses examined, it was determined that the thesis topics were focused on the student-oriented, in the recent years there were significant decreases in the number of doctors, and the thesis subjects were concentrated on certain subjects (for example, in the most tourism and recreation), issues were determined and solutions were proposed.
