Ever since nature is included in the capital accumulation cycle of capitalism, environmentalist reactions and social movements can be seen in everywhere just as parallel to all the environmental problems nowadays. The environmental movements in general environmental demand or objections are based on abstract space away from the source of problems, while the local environmental movements, including the peasant movements shaped in direct relation with the source of the problems, are based on the concrete space. The holistic protection of ecosystem requires the presence of means which brings environmental movements in both abstract and concrete space together and to make the power union. In this context, it is important for us to have a virtual space (digital space) that constitutes new opportunities for environmentalist movements as well as other social movements. Virtual space adds environmental movements both abstract space and concrete space in more powerful form to area of flows that make up the network community by bringing both of them together. This study aims to evaluate environmental problems and the environmentalist social movements focused the actual consequences of these problems through Henri Lefebvre’s conceptions of abstract space, concrete space, appropriation and Castells’ theory of the space of flows. In this study, it has been tried to understand how the local (concrete space-focused) environmental movements are related to the virtual space and the abstract space-focused environmentalist movements around it in Turkey. In this context, the forms of relationships that are established by anti- HEPP peasant movements with virtual media is screened by via their web pages and informations that are obtained by screening, is analyzed qualitatively. |

Doğanın kapitalizmin sermaye birikim döngüsüne dahil edilmesi nedeniyle günümüzde çevre sorunlarının her yerdeliğine koşut olarak çevre korumacı tepkiler ve toplumsal hareketler de her yerdedir. Sorunların kaynağından uzakta, genel çevresel talep ve itirazlarla şekillenen çevresel hareketler soyut mekân üzerine temellenirken, sorunların kaynağı ile doğrudan ilişkide olan köylü hareketleri de dahil olmak üzere yerel çevre hareketleri ise somut mekâna dayanmaktadır. Ekosistemin bütüncül olarak korunabilmesi için soyut ve somut mekân üzerinden üretilen çevreci hareketlerin biraradalığını ve güç birliği yapmalarını sağlayacak araçların varlığı kritik önemdedir. Bu bağlamda, diğer toplumsal hareketler gibi çevre hareketleri için de yeni bir fırsatlar ve olanaklar alanı sunan sanal mekân (dijital ortam) önem taşımaktadır. Çünkü sanal mekân, somut ve soyut mekân hareketlerini biraraya getirerek ağ toplumunu oluşturan akışlar alanına daha güçlü bir biçimde dahil etmektedir. Bu çalışma, çevresel sorunları ve bu sorunların fiili sonuçlarına yönelik toplumsal hareketleri Lefebvre’in soyut mekân, somut mekân ve sahiplenme kavramsallaştırmaları ile Castells’in akışlar uzamı teorisi üzerinden değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada, Türkiye’de HES karşıtı köylü hareketleri örneğinde, yerel (somut mekân) odaklı çevre hareketlerinin sanal mekânla ve bunun dolayımında soyut mekân hareketleri ile ilişkilenmesi anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırma için HES karşıtı mücadele veren köylere ve dahil oldukları platformlara ait web sayfaları ile mücadelelerini taşıdıkları diğer sanal ortamlar taranarak veri toplanmış, elde edilen veriler nitel olarak analiz edilmiştir. |
