Günümüzde kentler tarihte görülmemiş bir biçimde eşitsizlikleri görünür kılmaktadır. Özellikle 1980 sonrası dönemde kentler, sermayenin yoğun baskı ve istilasına maruz kalmışlardır. Neo liberal politikalarla yeni ve karlı bir yatırım alanı olarak ele alınan kent, piyasanın ihtiyacına uygulan olarak dizayn edilmektedir. Kent yoksulları, bu dönüşüm süreçlerinden negatif etkilenen kişilerdir. Benzer bir çıkarım Türkiye'de yürütülen kentsel dönüşüm projeleri için de geçerlidir.Bu çalışma kapsamında kent yoksulluğu, mekânın dönüşümü üzerinden değerlendirilmektedir. Bu kapsamda önce kent yoksulluğunun tarihsel sosyal içeriğinin kısa bir taraması yapılmış ve neoliberal politikaların mekan dönüşümü üzerinden kent yoksulluğunun yeni durumu incelenmiştir. Böylece, kentsel dönüşüm sonrasında kent yoksullarının maruz kaldığı yeni sosyal dışlanma ve ayrışma süreçlerinin ayrıntıları ortaya çıkarılmıştır. |

Today, cities reflect inequalities in a way not seen in their history. Especially after the 1980s, cities were exposed to intense pressure and invasion of the capital. The city, which is considered as a new and profitable investment area with neo-liberal policies, is designed for the market needs. The urban poor are those who are negatively affected by these transformation processes. This also applies to a similar inference urban transformation projects carried out in Turkey.In this study, urban poverty are evaluated by transformation of space. In this context, a brief survey of the historical social content of urban poverty has been made and the new situation of urban poverty has been examined through the transformation of neoliberal policies. Thus, after the urban transformation, details of the new social exclusion and decomposition processes of the urban poor have been revealed. |
