Geçmişten günümüze kadar dünya üzerinde var olan bölgelere birçok isim, nitelendirme ve coğrafik sıfatlar addedilmiştir. Bu isim, sıfat ve nitelendirmeler, bazen dinî-ırksal sebeplerden bazen ise coğrafik konumdan ileri gelmektedir. Bu durum Orta Doğu olarak adlandırılan bölge için de geçerlidir. İslam dininin egemen olduğu yıllarda İslam coğrafyası olarak görülen bu bölge, bazen Arap topluluğu olarak da adlandırılmıştır. Gün geçtikçe de bu bölge hakkındaki tanımlama ve adlandırmalar artmıştır.Bu sebeple Orta Doğu’nun neresi olduğu hakkında birçok farklı görüş ve tanım ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Orta Doğu Bölgesinin tam olarak neresi olduğu sorusuna yanıt aramaktır. Bu bölgede var olan ülkeler neden değişiklik göstermektedir, bunun dini politik, doğal kaynak veya jeopolitik anlamda ilişkisi var mı? Soruları araştırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Buna bağlı olarak ilk önce Orta Doğu neresidir? MENA ülkeleri ile bağlantısı nedir? Sorularına cevap aranmıştır. Bu sorulara, bölgede enerji kaynaklarının bol olması nedeniyle daha çok enerji üzerinden yaklaşılmıştır. Son olarak da bölgenin önemini daha iyi tasvir edebilmek için iki süper güç olan Rusya ve ABD’nin Orta Doğu ile ilişkileri incelenmiştir. |

Numerous names, qualifications and geographical adjectives have been deemed to the regions that exist from the past to the present day. These names, adjectives and qualifications are sometimes derived from religious-racial causes, sometimes from the geographical location. This also prevails for the region named as Middle East. This region, which appears to be Islamic geography in the years when Islamic religion dominates, is sometimes referred to as the Arab community. The definition and denotation about this region has increased day by day.For this reason, many different views and definitions have emerged about where the Middle East is located. The aim of this study is to seek answers to the question of exactly where the Middle East Area is. The study tries to answer the questions why the countries that exist in this region alter, and is there any religious, political, natural resource or geopolitical relationship among these countries? Correspondingly first of all, the answers of these questions are answered: where is Middle East? and What is the connection with MENA countries? These questions are answered with a special attention on energy as energy resources are abundant in the region. Finally, to better describe the importance of the region, two superpowers, Russia and the US, have been examined in relation to the Middle East. |
