Türk edebiyatının önemli bir kısmını oluşturan halk edebiyatı, tarihimizin derinliklerine uzanan zengin türlerden oluşur. Hiç şüphesiz bu zenginliği oluşturan türlerin çoğu sözlü anlatma esasına dayanmaktadır. Sözlü anlatma esasına dayanan bu türler içinde en önemli olanları destanlar, masallar ve halk hikâyeleridir. Sözlü gelenekte yaşayan kültür ürünlerimiz olan halk hikâyeleri XV. yy.dan itibaren Türk toplumunun hayatında önemli roller üstlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada toplumumuzun yaşama biçimini yansıtan sosyal hayat kavramı tespit edilmeye çalışılmış ve kendi içerisinde başlıklara ayrılmıştır. Gerçek ya da gerçeğe yakın olayların anlatıldığı uzun soluklu halk hikâyelerimizde geçen sosyal hayat ve kültürlerine ait özellikler bu başlıklar altında verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Sözlü halk yaratmalarının, genel Türk gelenekleri içindeki yerleri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Toplumun geçmişten bugüne yapmaya alışageldiği davranışlar, hikâyelerde geçen bölümleriyle ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada, geçmişten günümüze anlatılagelen halk hikâyelerinin halktan kopuk olmadığı; sosyal hayat ile iç içe olduğu gösterilmek amaçlanmıştır. Folk Literature, which forms an important part of Turkish Literature, consists of rich genres that extend deep into our history.Undoubtedly, most of the species that make up this richness are based on verbal narration. The most important of these genres that based on verbal narration are epics, tales and folk tales. Folk stories, which are our cultural products living in oral tradition, have undertaken important roles in the life of Turkish society since the 15th century. In this study, the concept of social life, which reflects the way of living of our society, is tried to be determined and is divided into titles. Features of social life and culture in our long-term folk stories where real or near-life events are tried to be given under these headings. The place of the oral folk creations in the general Turkish traditions was tried to be determined. The behaviors of our society from the past to the present have been dealt with in sections of our stories. In our study, it was aimed to show that our folk stories told from the past to the present are not disconnected from the public and intertwined with social life.
