12. yüzyıl şairi Nizamî, kaleme aldığı Heft Peyker mesnevisi ile Behram-ı Gur anlatılarının İran Edebiyatından Türk Edebiyatına girmesini sağlamıştır. Nizami oluşturduğu Heft Peyker mesnevisinde kullandığı hayal ve imgelerle kendine özgü bir üslup kurmayı başarmış ve bunu bir adım öteye taşımıştır. Kullandığı hayal imgelerin sıradan imgelerden uzak olması ve üslup kurmadaki başarısı ile kendisinden sonra gelen birçok şairi etkilemiştir. Nizami'nin oluşturduğu hamse geleneğinden ve Heft Peyker mesnevisinden etkilenen Ali Şir Nevaî, Aşkî, Behiştî, Hayalî gibi şairler Nizamî ile aynı ismi taşıyan kendi mesnevilerini yazmışlardır. Aynı zamanda eserde kullanılan imgeler, metaforik anlatım ve mesnevinin yazım teknikleri incelendiğinde Nizamî'nin Heft Peyker'inin çağının ötesinde bir eser olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. The 12th century poet Nizami, with the Heft Peyker mesnevi he wrote, enabled Behram-ı Gur narrations to enter Turkish literature from Persian literature. Nizami succeeded in establishing a unique style with the imagination and images he used in his Heft Peyker mesnevi and took it one step further. The imagination he used influenced many poets who came after him with his images being far from ordinary images and his success in establishing styles. Influenced by Nizami's hamse tradition and from Heft Peyker, poets such as Ali Şir Nevai, Aşki, Behişti and Hayali wrote their own mesnevi which had the same name as Nizami. At the same time, the images used in the work, metaphorical narrative and writing techniques of the mesnevi examined Nizami'nin Heft Peyker'ın is understood to be a work beyond the era.
