<p>AbstractHuman brucellosis is a common zoonotic infectiousdisease in the world. Spinal epidural abscessdevelopment in brucellosis is a rare but seriouscomplication. We aimed to discuss the clinical,radiological and serological findings of the spinal stenosiscaused by epidural and paraspinal abscess due to brucellainfection. Treatment of the abscess usually consists ofsurgical drainage, decompression and antibiotherapy. Inour case, since the Brucellar spinal epidural abscess wasdiagnosed in the early period, it was improved withmedical treatment without any surgical intervention. Inthe early diagnosis of the disease, serology and culture aswell as magnetic resonance imaging are extremelyimportan<br></p> |
