dc.description <p><strong>AMASRA&#39;DA BİZANS, CENEVİZ VE OSMANLILARA EV SAHİPLİĞİ YAPMIŞ BİR MABET: KİLİSE MESCİDİ</strong></p><p><strong>&Ouml;zet:</strong> Bilinen en eski adı ile Sesamos, Pers İmparatorluğu zamanında Amastris, Bizans d&ouml;nemindeki adıyla Amastedos, T&uuml;rk d&ouml;nemindeki adı ile de Amasra, Bartın iline bağlı, Karadeniz kıyılarında bulunan bir liman kentidir. Kuruluşundan g&uuml;n&uuml;m&uuml;ze kadar &ouml;nemli bir ticaret merkezi olan Amasra&rsquo;nın, Bizans d&ouml;neminde de metropolis ve piskoposluk merkezi olması bu &ouml;nemini s&uuml;rd&uuml;rd&uuml;ğ&uuml;n&uuml;n g&ouml;stergesidir. Bizans D&ouml;nemi&rsquo;nde Amasra&rsquo;da bir&ccedil;ok kilise ve şapel inşa edilmiş, ancak bunlarda sadece ikisi sağlam vaziyette, altısı ise temel seviyesinde g&uuml;n&uuml;m&uuml;ze ulaşabilmiştir. Bu yapılardan biri olan Kilise Mescidi, IX.-X. y&uuml;zyıllar arasında inşa edilmiş, XIV.-XV. y&uuml;zyıllarda Cenevizliler tarafından kullanılmış ve 1460-1461 yılında camiye &ccedil;evrilmiştir. Kilise mescidi kendine has mimari ve s&uuml;sleme &ouml;zellikleriyle Bizans dini mimarisi i&ccedil;inde &ouml;nemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu &ccedil;alışma, Kilise Mescidi&rsquo;nin tarihini, mimari ve s&uuml;sleme &ouml;zelliklerini a&ccedil;ıklamak ve yapının Bizans mimarisindeki yerini ortaya koymayı ama&ccedil;lamaktadır.</p><p><strong>Anahtar Kelimeler:</strong> Amastris, Amasra, Bizans D&ouml;nemi, Kilise Mescidi, Bizans Mimarisi</p>
dc.description <p><strong><em>The Church Masjid: A Temple Which Hosted to Byzantine, Genoese and Ottomans in Amasra</em></strong></p><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> With its earliest name, &ldquo;Sesamos&rdquo;, &ldquo;Amastris&rdquo; in Persian Empire period, &ldquo;Amastedos&rdquo; in Byzantine period, and &ldquo;Amasra&rdquo; in Turkish period, is a coastal town of Bartın on Black Sea coast. That Amasra, which has been an important trade centre so far, was also a metropolis and bishopric centre in Byzantine period is the indication of its ongoing significance. Many churches and chapels were built in Amasra during the Byzantine period, but only two of them were in solid condition, and six of them were able to reach to the present day at basic level. One of this structures, The Church Masjid was built between the ninth and tenth centuries, and used by the Genoese in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries and was transformed to a masjid in the years of 1460-1461. The Church Masjid has an important place in the Byzantine religious architecture with its unique architectural and decorative features. This study aims to explain the history, architectural and decorative features of The Church Masjid, and reveal its place in the Byzantine architecture.</p><p><strong>Key Words:</strong> Amastris, Amasra, Byzantine Period, The Church Mosque, Byzantine Architecture</p>
