dc.description
ABSTRACT

Throughout the centuries, Anatolia has hosted various civilizations in the historical and cultural process, and it has housed colorful cultures created by civilizations. While the Anatolian lands were witnessing the colorful periods of the civilization history in the Neolithic period, the most important settlements of the history were founded on these lands. One of the most important settlements such as Çayönü (Diyarbakır), Göbekli Tepe (Şanlıurfa) and Hacılar (Konya) is Çatalhöyük. Çatalhöyük, which sheds light on the Neolithic Age, is of great importance both for its cultural richness and for its human history. The seals between the terra cotta excavations during the excavations have a history of 9000 years. The seal, which has been used by different civilizations for many years, has been a symbol of power and wealth. They differ in terms of the date they are made and the areas where they are used. It shows that they are affected by each other by these differences which are developed by communication between civilizations.Seals are also known to guide the discovery of the roots of the ceramics recovered from the archaeological excavations. The production of ceramics on these soils is dated to the Neolithic Age at Çatalhöyük. It started in 7b and has survived until today. As a result of the data obtained from the archaeological excavations carried out to date in Çatalhöyük campus, in addition to the terra cotta pottery, stamp seals were found in houses, cemeteries and sacred areas. In Çatalhöyük, stamp seals have been used in order to indicate ownership with the development of the production economy or to decorate the grain and weaving areas. In short, the seals have been used as a means of transferring the socio-cultural structure of the period of time, the socio-economic structure to the following civilizations throughout the ages.

Words; Konya, Çatalhöyük, Tamga, Seal, Ceramic, Clay

Seals are also known to guide the discovery of the roots of the ceramics recovered from the archaeological excavations.
