dc.description Objectives and methods: All community health service workers (doctors, nurses, midwifes, health officers and technicians of environmental health) from one region in western Turkey participated in this study. To examine associations between job satisfaction and burnout, a cross-sectional survey of community health services personnel in Isparta, Turkey, was conducted using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and the Job Satisfaction Inventory developed by Hackman and Oldham, which were then compared. Questionnaires were distributed among 364 subjects, yielding a return by 307 (84.3%).
