dc.description
Bluetooth technology is a cheap and easy data collection method used in transportation. This technology enables the
tracking of the movement of these devices, without requiring any personal information, by capturing the specially encoded MAC
address for each Bluetooth device. Especially in corridors with limited access, such as motorways, it is used successfully in
transportation management. However, this technology is not used sufficiently in determining the role of pedestrians in the
transport sector as it is used in the transport sector. This study provides a field study in the determination of pedestrian flows by
using Bluetooth technologies.
