dc.description The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of short-wave diathermy on hand and finger grip strength of healthy volunteers. Six male volunteers from Egirdir Bone Joint Diseases Treatment and Rehabilitation Hospital were included in this study. Age, body weight, height, body mass index, hand grip strength, lateral grip strength, palmar grip and finger grip strength values were recorded. As a result, after acute exposure to short-wave diathermy all strengths are reduced according to the initial values. After 10 sessions of chronic exposure to short-wave diathermy all hand strengths of volunteers has almost reached to initial values.
