dc.description Potentiometric titration and chemometric methods were applied to the simultaneous determination of the four amino acids, alanine (ALA), phenylalanine (PHE), leucine (LEU) and lysine (LYS). The applied chemometric techniques are multivariate methods including principal component regression (PCR), partial least squares (PLS) and independent component analysis (ICA) methods. The developed methods were validated and successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of ALA, PHE, LEU and LYS in chicken samples. The assay results obtained using the chemometric methods were statistically compared to those of the HPLC method and good agreement was observed.
