dc.description The physical and mechanical properties of concretes and their variations with the barite rate in the concrete have been investigated. The effect of freezing and thawing (F-T) on those properties have also been investigated for five different cycle (10, 20, 30, 40, and 50). The concrete were produced using water-to-cement ratio (w/c) of 0.65 and five different barite rate (0, 50, 60, 70, and 100) were used in the concrete. It was found that some of the physical and mechanical properties of concrete were effected by barite rate under F-T cycle and some others are not varied. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
