dc.description <p>With the progress in textile industry, functional products which can use for different purposes, gain importance day by day. One&nbsp;of the functional smart textile products are electronic textiles or wearable electronics. Wearable electronic textiles can be&nbsp;<br />defined as the integration of various electronic elements such as sensors, energy harvesting devices, transistors, antennas etc.&nbsp;into fabrics. One of the main elements for e-textiles is the usage of electrically conductive fibres or yarns to provide the signal&nbsp;<br />transmission between the garment and other segments such as sensors, actuators, or computer chips, which are embedded&nbsp;into fabric (Lee et al., 2015). In this study, it was worked on the conformal coating of the cotton fibres to get electrically&nbsp;conductive as well as flexible material. Cotton fibre is one of the most commonly used textile fibre in textile industry and has the&nbsp;advantages of being natural fibre and highly hydrophilic. In the study, carbon black particles was selected as conductive&nbsp;material due to low cost and easy procurable and cotton fibres were coated with carbon black particles. Two-probe&nbsp;<br />measurement method was used for the yarn conductivity and the changes in yarn tenacity and breaking elongation of the yarns&nbsp;were also evaluated.</p>
