This study was carried out in order to determine the effect of NaCl on runner plant production and tolerance level of some strawberry cultivars [the native cultivars; of Arnavutkoy, Yalova-15 (Y15), Yalova-104 (Y104), Yalova- 416 (Y416) which are cross bred cultivars of "Arnavutkoy x Aliso" and the foreign cultivars Douglas, Aliso and Dorit (216)]. The strawberry plants were grown in the bags filled with a substrate mixture [11.11% agro perlit, 66.66% peat of Yenicag and 22.22% sand] and were irrigated with water continuously at various levels of salt [control (1000), 2500, 5000, 7500, 10000 mumol l(-1) NaCl] under glasshouse conditions. |
