Temel tasarım dersi, mimarlık eğitiminin temeli olarak bu eğitimde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Temel tasarım stüdyolarında öğrencilere tasarlama eyleminin nasıl gerçekleşeceği ve tasarımın aşamaları öğretilmektedir. Bunu yaparken öğrencinin yaratıcılığını, soyut düşünme becerisini, problem çözme yeteneğini ve eleştirel düşünme becerisini geliştirmek amaçlanmaktadır. Ancak bu dersin öğrenciler açısından başarısı, dersin uygulamaları ve mimarlık eğitimine katkısı, öğrenciler, eğitimciler ve araştırmacılar tarafından sıkça eleştirilmektedir. Tartışılan sorunların çözümü konusunda günün koşullarına uygun arayışlar geliştirilememekte ve bu sebeple sorunlar gün geçtikçe farklı boyutlar kazanarak yeniden gündeme gelmektedir. Bunun üzerine Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Mimarlık Bölümü öğrencileri ile bir anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Derse dair literatürde yer alan eleştiriler göz önünde bulundurularak yapılan çalışma ile öğrencilerin derse dair sorunlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Basic design course has an important place in this education as the basis of architectural education. In basic design studios, students will be taught how to design and realize the stages of design. While doing this, it is aimed to develop the student's creativity, abstract thinking ability, problem solving ability and critical thinking ability. However, the success of this course for students, its applications and its contribution to architectural education are frequently criticized by students, educators and researchers. The searches for the solution of the problems discussed are not developed according to the conditions of the day, and for this reason, the problems are gaining new dimensions day by day. Thereupon, a survey was conducted with the students of Süleyman Demirel University Department of Architecture. With the study carried out by considering the criticisms in the literature of the course, it was aimed to determine the problems of the students about the course. The data obtained were examined and suggestions for the course were presented. Keywords: basic design studios, architectural education, design. |
