dc.description The main object of this study is to determine the effects of foliar fertilizers on yield, paste output, fruit weight, fruit penetration value, and pH, brix, colour, ascorbic acid and stem diameter in fruits on processing tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) cv. Rio Grande. In this study, six different foliar fertilizers namely Brave (200 g/100 l), Real (3500 ml/1000 l), Urea (0.4 %), Biamin (500 g/da), KNO3 (1 %) and Ca(NO3)(2) (1 %) were used. Foliar fertilizers were applied 3 times in a 15 days intervals with same doses during the growing period. The results obtained from the study indicated that all of the parameters were affected depending on the foliar fertilizers. Fruit yield was the highest (7.291 kg/da) with Brave, paste output was the highest (1.467 kg/da) with Urea, fruit weight was the highest (62.85 g) with Real, fruit penetration value was the highest (1.598 kg/cm(2)) with KNO3, pH was the highest (4.89) with KNO3 application, brix was the highest (5.92 %) in control, ascorbic acid was the highest (25.50 mg/100 g) with Urea and stem diameter was the highest (10.23 mm) with Biamin application. Foliar fertilizers applications had no significant affect on colour content in fruit.
