dc.description The most abundant predatory species of bark beetles (Coleoptera: Curculionidae, Scolytinae) in the pine forests of Izmir region in Turkey were determined. Specimens were collected from 10 sites throughout the region between 2012 and 2014. A total of 40 predatory species of Scolytinae belonging to 15 families of 3 orders were presented. Among these species; Athous (laplathous) zebei Bach 1854 (Col.: Elateridae), Corticeus longulus Gyllenhal, 1827 (Col.: Tenebrionidae) and Scoloposcelis pulchella (Zetterstedt, 1838) (Hem.: Anthocoridae) were the first records for Turkish fauna. Aulonium fuficorne (30.79%), Thanasimus formicarius (27.88%), Temnochila caerulea (9.75%) and Rhizophagus depressus (9.16%) were found as the abundant species, respectively.
