dc.description Background. Immunosuppressive therapy is the major cause of hyperlipidemia after renal transplantation. We sought to compare the effects of an azathioprine (AZA) combination (n = 26) with corticosteroid and cyclosporine (CyA; group 1) with a mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) combination (n = 71; group 2) in the first year following renal transplantation.
