ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to compare the findings ofclinical examination, CT angiography and DSA in evaluationof infrarenal peripheric arterial disease.Materials and MethodsThis study was conducted in Suleyman Demirel UniversityFaculty of Medicine, Department of CardiovascularSurgery between January 2013-February 2014.49 patients (7 female, 42 male) with lower extremityarterial symptoms between the ages of 41-93 (meanage; 63,83±12,75) were involved in the study. Lowerextremity angiograms of the patient were performedby Digital Subtraction Anjiography (DSA ) and 128 multidedector BT angiography in average and thesetwo methods were compared.ResultsThere was no statistically significant difference betweenBT angiography and DSA in evaluation of infrarenalperipheric arterial disease (p 0.05). AB index andclaudicasio measurements demonstrated significantlynegative correlation with the stenosis percentage inBT angiography and DSA evaluation resultsConclusionBT angiography can be thougt as an alternative imagingmethod of DSA in evaluation of infrarenal periphericarterial disease of lower extremity. |
