dc.description ObjectiveOral isotretinoin is an effective treatment used for yearsin the treatment of acne vulgaris. Many side effectsof it have been reported, and new ones appear dayby day. In this study, it was aimed to investigate whetherisotretinoin causes changes in serum uric acid andMPV levels, which are markers that can be evaluatedin many diseases.Material and Methods78 patients who were admitted to Dermatology OutpatientClinic of our hospital and were diagnosed withmild to moderate or severe acne vulgaris and to whomisotretinoin treatment was started at least three monthsago, were included in this study. Hemogram parameters, lipid levels, monocyte / HDL ratio, MPV anduric acid levels were examined before treatment andat the third month of treatment in patients who startedisotretinoin at a dose of approximately 0.5 mg / kg /day as a standard.ResultsWhile there was no significant change between the hemogramparameters, MPV and uric acid levels of thepatients before and in the third month of treatment (p>0.005); there were significant differences between lipidlevels (triglyceride, total cholesterol, LDL) (p
