Ligneous conjunctivitis is a disease usuallycharacterized by type 1 plasminogen deficiency. Aswell as being inherited, it may also be associatedwith infection or trauma. It is characterized by thewoody appearance of pseudo-membranes rich infibrin, especially seen in the tarsal conjunctiva. İnits treatment heparin, alpha chymotrypsin, topicalhyaluronidase, corticosteroids, cyclosporine, andsurgical excision of membranes exist. In this study, weaimed to demonstrate the association of hydrocephalusand ligneous conjunctivitis in a 10-month-old malepatient who had a ventricular-peritoneal shunt forhydrocephalus. |

Lignöz konjoktivit, genellikle tip 1 plazminojen eksikliğiile karakterize bir hastalıktır. Genetik kalıtımlıolduğu gibi enfeksiyon veya travma ile de ilişkiliolabilir. Özellikle tarsal konjonktivada görülen odunsugörünümde fibrinden zengin psödomembranlarlakarakterizedir. Tedavisinde; heparin, alfa kimotripsin,topikal hiyalüronidaz, kortikosteroidler, siklosporin vemembranların cerrahi eksizyonu yer almaktadır. Buçalışmada, hidrosefali nedeniyle ventrikülo-peritonealşant uygulanmış 10 aylık erkek hastada Dandy-Walker spektrumuna bağlı hidrosefali ve lignözkonjonktivit birlikteliğini göstermek amaçlanmıştır. |
