The most common complication of herpes zoster ispostherpetic neuralgia (PHN). PHN is defined as painthat persists for at least 90 days after the onset of theHerpes zoster rash. A variety of treatment options areavailable for the management of PHN pain, includingmedications and interventional therapies. Capsaicin,one of the treatment options in the treatment of PHN,is a selective agonist of transient receptor potentialvanilloid receptor type 1. Treatment-related pain iscommon in capsaicin patch application. Topical andsystemic drugs are used to relieve this pain. We aimedto present a case of erector spina plan block,which we performed to a 65-year-old male patientwith PHN to prevent hyperalgesia caused by capsaicinpatch application. |

Herpes zoster'in en yaygın komplikasyonu postherpetiknevraljidir (PHN). PHN, Herpes zoster döküntüsününbaşlangıcından sonra en az 90 gün boyuncadevam eden ağrı olarak tanımlanır. PHN ağrısının yönetimiiçin ilaçlar ve girişimsel tedavileri içeren çeşitlitedavi seçenekleri mevcuttur. PHN tedavisinde tedaviseçeneklerinden biri olan kapsaisin, geçici reseptörpotansiyeli vanilloid reseptör tip 1'in seçici bir agonistidir.Tedavi ile ilişkili ağrı, kapsaisin patch uygulamasındasık görülmektedir. Bu ağrının giderilmesi içintopikal ve sistemik ilaçlar kullanılmaktadır. PHN tanısıolan, 65 yaş, erkek hastaya kapsaisin patch uygulamasınınoluşturduğu hiperaljeziyi önlemek için uyguladığımızerektör spina plan bloğu olgusunu sunmayıamaçladık. |
