dc.description The present study was aimed to evaluate effects of humic acid (HA) applications on yield, paste output, fruit weight, fruit penetration value, and pH, brix, colour, ascorbic acid and stem diameter in fruits of processing tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) cv. Rio Grande. In the experiment, three different humic acids were applied. Eko-Fer (0, 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1000 cc/da), K-Humate (0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 g/da) and Uptake (0, 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 cc/100 l) were used for applications. Humic acid applications were made 3 times in a 15 days intervals with the same doses during the growing period. Completely Randomized design with four replications was used. There were 30 plants per each replicate group. As a result, fruit yield was the highest (7.637 kg/da) with Eko-Fer 600 cc/da applications, paste output was the highest (1.398 kg/da) with Eko-Fer 400 cc/da applications, fruit weight was the highest (67.3 g) with Eko-Fer 600 cc/da applications, fruit penetration value was the highest (1.800 kg/cm(2)) with Eko-Fer 600 cc/da applications, brix was the highest (5.92 %) in control, ascorbic acid was the highest (25.50 mg/100g) with Uptake 300 cc/100 l applications, stem diameter was the highest (10.685 mm) with Uptake 500 cc/100 l applications. Humic acid applications had no significant effects on the colour.
