Parameters that affect the electrospinning process have been studied for many years. Surface tension and conductivity are two of the most important parameters for electrospun nanofibers. Here we report a series of polyvinyl alcohol nanofibers by adding various concentrations of non-ionic and anionic surfactants. We observed the changes in fiber quality and morphology due to decreasing surface tension and increasing conductivity. In the best case example, good quality of fibers was spun by adding anionic surfactant but adding non-ionic surfactant showed negative effect. |
