dc.description Diyabet, vücutta insülin azlığı/yokluğu nedeniyle yada yeterince insülin olmasına rağmen istenilen düzeydeetki göstermemesi sonucunda kan şekeri yüksekliğiylekarakterize kronik bir hastalıktır. Diyabette istenilenglisemik kontrolün sağlanmasında öz yönetiminönemi büyüktür. Diyabetin yönetiminde engellerin belirlenmesioptimal sağlığa ulaşmada kritik bir adımdır.Diyabetin öz yönetiminde başlıca engeller; diyabetleilgili yetersiz bilgi, inanç ve davranışları, kaynak yetersizliği,sağlık sorunları, olumsuz duygular ve destekeksikliğidir. Diyabetli bireylerin öz yönetimde karşılaştıklarısorunların farkında olmak ve bu sorunların üstesindengelinmesinde hastayı desteklemek diyabethemşirelerinin temel rollerinden birisidir. Bu derlemeninamacı diyabet öz yönetimindeki kolaylaştırıcılarve engelleri tartışmaktır. Yapılan çalışmalar diyabetöz yönetiminde hastaların algıladıkları destek ve engellerinfarkında olunarak yapılan diyabet öz yönetimeğitimlerinin daha etkili olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.
dc.description Diabetes is a chronic disease characterized by highblood sugar as a result of insufficient/absence ofinsulin in the body or not having the desired effectdespite having enough insulin. Self-managementis of great importance in achieving the desiredglycemic control in diabetes. Identifying barriers in themanagement of diabetes is a critical step in achievingoptimal health. The main barriers in diabetes selfmanagementare; lack of knowledge, beliefs andbehaviors about diabetes, lack of resources, healthproblems, negative emotions and lack of support.Being aware of the problems faced by individualswith diabetes in self-management and supporting thepatient in overcoming these problems is one of thebasic roles of the diabetes nurse. The purpose of thisreview is to discuss the pillars and barriers in diabetesself-management. Studies show that diabetes selfmanagementtrainings, which are made by beingaware of the support and obstacles perceived bythe patients, are more effective in diabetes selfmanagement.
