dc.description
Biochemical Basis of Metal Nanomaterial Synthesis Manufactured using PlantExtract with Sample of Silver Nanoparticle Synthesis Havva Kaya*Ph.D. StudentDepartment of Bioengineering, Suleyman DemirelUniversty, Turkey Semra KilicProf.Department of Biology, Suleyman Demirel University, TurkeyThe increase in the usage area and amount of metal nanoparticles has led to the emergence of differentapproaches in production techniques. The biological methods included in these techniques offer a moreecological solution. Phytosynthesis is based on the use of plant extracts as biological agents. Water is generallyused as a solvent and phytochemicals in the plant extract are used as reducing agents. Thanks to this, the releaseof pollutants that are used in large quantities is prevented and it provides great savings in energy use. In thismethod, each plant content is different and provides a different type of particle formation. Furthermore, plantselection, physical factors such as pH, temperature, reaction time, and light are important in stabilizing themorphological properties of nanoparticles. The disadvantage of the method is the difficulty in isolating theparticles. This study focuses on the chemical basis of nanomaterial production by phyto nanosynthesis. Thismethod, it is aimed to give an idea of the biochemical basis to be considered in the mass production processesof metal nanoparticles, which will be used in engineering fields other than bulk materials. As an example, silvernanoparticles (AgNP) was produced with lavender extract and characterization analyzes were performed withUV-Vis, SEM-EDS, and FTIR.Keywords: Metal Nano Particles, Phyto nanosynthesis, Phytochemicals, Silver.
