Dinsel dünyanın uhrevi büyüsünün bozulmaya başladığı, dini kurumların sosyal, siyasal ve ekonomik yapılar üzerindeki normatif tutum geliştirme kabiliyetinin zayıfladığı son yüzyılda din olgusu, sarsıcı travmaları geride bırakıp sosyal hayata ve ekonomik sahaya yeniden dönerken din olgusunu kendi kültürel koşullanmalarıyla ve kendine özgü modern tonlara sahip tinsel birikimleriyle tanımlayan, hiçbir anti-teist ideolojinin sahip olamadığı etki ağıyla kutsal metinlerden çıkarılmış dogmatik inançları sorgulamaya açarak yapı-bozumuna uğratan sinemayla temas etmek zorunda kalmıştır. Bu meyanda sinema din ilişkisini ele alan bu çalışma, dinsel dünyanın hazzetmediği diyalektiği ve bu diyalektiğin bireysel ve toplumsal anlamda yansımalarını kategorize ederek anlamlı ve yeni bir bakış açısı kurmaya çalışmakta ve sinemanın metodolojisi içerisinde arkaik tortularından beslenen dinamiklerini dikkate alarak sinema din ilişkisine farklı bir perspektif sunmaktadır. Çalışmanın teorik bölümü, sinema sahasına odaklı literatür taraması okumalarından; uygulamalı kısmı ise seçili filmlerin çözümlemelerinden edinilen bulguların değerlendirilmesinden oluşmaktadır. Üç bölümden oluşan çalışmanın Giriş bölümünde, araştırmanın konusu, problemi, amacı ve yöntemine ilişkin açıklamalara yer verilmiştir. Araştırmanın Birinci Bölümünde karşılaştırmalı olarak sinema tarihi, sinema akımları ve sinemanın gerçeklikle bağına yönelik kavramsal bilgilere ve tartışmalara yer verilmiş, sinemanın gerçeklik üretimi sinematografik yöntemler üzerinden örneklendirilmiştir. İkinci Bölümde ise sinema toplum ilişkisine popüler kültür ve simgesel dil üzerinden değinilmiş, sinema din ilişkileri diyalektik çerçevede kategorik olarak ele alınmış, Batı sineması, Japon sineması ve Türk sinemasının din ile kurdukları ilişkilerin kendilerine özgü siyasal, toplumsal ve ekonomik gelişmeler ekseninde okuması yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın Son Bölümünde de sinemanın metodolojik birikimine sadık kalınarak Film Eleştirisi yöntemlerine ilişkin başlıklar açılmış, bu çerçevede "Narayama Türküsü", "Yedinci Mühür" ve "Takva" filmlerinin çözümlemeleri yapılmış ve yorumlarda bulunulmuştur. The phenomenon of religion in the last century in which the ethereal magic of the religious world began to deteriorate and in which the ability of religious institutions to develop normative attitude on social, political, and economic structures became weaker, religion had to come into contact with cinema, which opened the dogmatic beliefs, which were extracted from holy scriptures, into questioning with the network of effect, which none of the anti-theist ideology, which defined itself with spiritual accumulations with modern tones specific to itself and with its own cultural conditionings of the religious phenomenon when it returned to the social life and economic field after leaving shocking traumas behind. In this respect, the present study, which discussed the cinema-religion relation, tried to establish a meaningful and novel viewpoint by categorizing the dialectic, which the religious world does not enjoy at all and the reflections of the dialectics in an individual and social sense, and also tried to provide a different perspective to cinema-religion relation by taking into account the dynamics of cinema, which feed on archaic residues in its own methodology. The theoretical section of the study consists of the literature review focused on cinema, and the applied section consists of evaluating the findings obtained from the analysis of the selected films. In the introduction section of the study, which consists of three sections, explanations on the subject, problem, purpose, and method of the study are included. In the first section of the study, the history of cinema, cinema movements, and the conceptual information and discussions on the bond of cinema with reality were included in a comparative manner, and the reality production of the cinema was exemplified over cinematographic methods. In the second section, the cinema-society relation was discussed over the popular culture and symbolic language, and the cinema-religion relations were discussed categorically in the dialectic frame. Western cinema, Japanese cinema, and Turkish cinema were discussed on the axis of political, social, and economic developments that were specific to their relations with religion. In the last section of the study, the titles on the methodological accumulation and film criticism of the cinema were opened by considering the methodological accumulation of the cinema; in this context, the "Narayama Song", "Seventh Seal" and "Taqwa" films were analyzed and interpreted.
