Bu çalışmada boşanmış, dul ve 35 yaş üstü evlenmemiş bireylerde yalnızlık, umutsuzluk ve dini başa çıkma tarzları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu dahil edilme kriterlerini sağlayan ve seçkisiz olmayan amaçlı örnekleme yöntemine uygun olarak ulaşılan 177 kişi oluşturmuştur. Katılımcılara kişisel bilgi formu, UCLA Yalnızlık Ölçeği (UCLA-YÖ), Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği (BUÖ) ve Dini Başa Çıkma Ölçeği (DBÇÖ) uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre Dindarlık düzeyi ile UCLA-YÖ arasında negatif; Dindarlık düzeyi ile Pozitif Dini Başa Çıkma arasında pozitif yönlü ve anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. UCLA-YÖ ile BUÖ Toplam, Gelecek ile İlgili Duygular ve Beklentiler, Motivasyon Kaybı, Umut arasında pozitif yönlü ve anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. UCLA-YÖ ve BUÖ Toplam ile Pozitif Dini Başa Çıkma arasında negatif yönlü ve anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. Dul (eşin vefatı nedeniyle) katılımcıların Pozitif Dini Başa Çıkma puan ortalaması, boşanmış katılımcıların puan ortalamasından anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Kadın katılımcıların Pozitif Dini Başa Çıkma puan ortalamasının erkek katılımcıların puan ortalamasından anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Erkek katılımcıların Negatif Dini Başa Çıkma puan ortalamasının kadın katılımcıların puan ortalamasından anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Çok düşük sosyoekonomik düzeye sahip katılımcıların UCLA-YÖ, BUÖ Toplam, Gelecek ile İlgili Duygular ve Beklentiler, Motivasyon Kaybı ve Umut puan ortalaması, orta sosyoekonomik düzeye sahip katılımcıların puan ortalamalarından anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Pozitif Dini Başa Çıkma katılımcıların UCLA-YÖ, BUÖ Toplam puanlarını olumlu etkilerken, Negatif Dini Başa Çıkma olumsuz etkilemektedir. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between loneliness, hopelessness and religious coping styles in unmarried individuals over 35 years of age, divorced and widowed. The study group of the research consisted of 177 people who met the inclusion criteria and were reached in accordance with the non-random sampling method. Personal information form, UCLA Loneliness Scale, Beck Hopelessness Scale and Religious Coping Scale were administered to the participants. According to the findings, a negative and significant relationship was observed between the level of Religiosity and UCLA. A positive and significant relationship was found between the level of religiosity and Positive Religious Coping. A positive and significant relationship was found between UCLA and BHS Total, Future Emotions and Expectations, Motivation Loss, and Hope. A negative and significant relationship was found between UCLA and BHS Total with Positive Religious Coping. Positive Religious Coping mean score of widowed (due to the death of spouse) participants was found to be significantly higher than the mean score of divorced participants. Positive Religious Coping mean score of female participants was found to be significantly higher than the mean score of male participants. Negative Religious Coping mean score of male participants was found to be significantly higher than the mean score of female participants. The UCLA, BHS Total, Future Emotions and Expectations, Motivation Loss and Hope scores of the participants with very low socioeconomic status were found to be significantly higher than the mean scores of the participants with middle socioeconomic status.
