Toplumsal cinsiyet anlayışı, içtimai hayatın birer parçası olan kadın ve erkeğin günlük hayattaki rollerine ilişkin tanımlamalarını belirleyen sosyal bir olgudur. Cinsiyet, salt haliyle kadın ve erkek arasındaki ayrımı belirlerken toplumsal cinsiyet kavramı ise erkek ve kadın cinsiyetlerinin toplumsal rollerine gönderme yapmaktadır. Toplumsal cinsiyet algısının oluşma sürecinde birden çok etkenin rol aldığı görülmektedir. Erkeğin ve kadının toplumsal hayattaki görevlerinin belli bir düzen içerisinde olmasını sağlayan etkenlerin başında, bireyin aile hayatı gelmektedir. Birey, kendi cinsel kimliğinin görevlerini ilk olarak aile içerisinde öğrenmektedir. Toplumsal hayatın bir parçası olacak olan birey, sosyal çevreyle iletişim sürecine girdiğinde kendi cinsel kimliğinin temel görevleriyle de tanışmış bulunmaktadır. Toplum normlarını oluşturan farklı faktörlerin olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu faktörlerden biri de dindir. Dinler, toplumların şekillenmesinde ve toplumsal yapılarının inşasında etkin olarak yer almaktadırlar. Dolayısıyla toplumun birer parçası olan erkek ve kadın cinsiyetlerinin toplumsal rollerinin belirlemesinde ve bu cinsiyetlerin toplumsal görevlerinin tanımlamasında dinlerin etkisinin olduğu görülmektedir. Bu araştırmada, Kitab-ı Mukaddes'te yer alan toplumsal cinsiyet anlayışıyla ilgili pasajlarda bireylerin toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine daha çok etki eden dini yargılar ele alınmış ve bu yargılar üzerinde birtakım incelemeler yapılmıştır. The understanding of gender is a social phenomenon that determines the definitions of the roles of men and women, who are part of social life, in daily life. While gender simply defines the distinction between men and women, the concept of gender refers to the social roles of the male and female genders. It is seen that multiple factors play a role in the formation of gender perception. The family life of the person is at the forefront of the factors that ensure that the roles and duties of men and women in social life are in a certain order. The person first learns the duties of his sexual identity within the family. When the person, who will be a part of social life, enters the process of meeting with the social environment, he has also met the environmental duties of his own sexual identity. It is understood that there are different factors from the norms of society. One of these factors is religion. Religions are actively involved in the shaping of societies and the construction of their social structures. Therefore, it seems that religions have an impact on the determination of the social roles of the male and female genders, which are part of the society, and the definition of their social duties. Therefore, in this research, the religious judgments of the Bible, which have a greater impact on the social roles of persons, have been discussed and some studies have been made on these judgments.
