dc.description
In this study; Noise measurements were made in and out of the garden, duringbreak and class hours, in a total of 10 school samples, 4 primary schools, 4 secondary schoolsand 2 high schools, located in the city center of Isparta and selected according to the criteriadetermined as a result of observations and interviews with the authorities. The collected datafrom measurements and the variables that may affect the noise level in and near environmentof the school gardens were analyzed with the SPSS statistical program. The effect of thevariables effects on increasing or decreasing the noise levels has been revealed. According tothe general average noise measurements of during class hours from outside schoolyards, it wasdetermined that the highest noise level (66,48 dB), was found for high school groups while thelowest for primary school groups (62,48 dB). However, it has been found that there is nostatistically meaningful differences in terms of monthly general average noise level to theeducational level of the schools. Moreover, it has been realized that the highest level of noisefrom outside of the schoolyard during break was primary schools (71,67 dB) (62,25 dB), andthe lowest was high schools (). There are statistically significant differences in terms ofmonthly general average noise level to the educational level of the schools. In addition, thehighest level of noise in the schoolyard during break was measured for primary schools (75,84dB), while the lowest was the selected high schools (62 dB). There was a statistically significantdifferences between the monthly average measured noise in the schoolyard during break timefor educational level of the schools. As a result, it has been observed that the noise in thegardens of the schools and their immediate surroundings is above the standards set by theWorld Health Organization
