Leaf beetles (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) collected during the years 2019-2020 from Murat Mountain located on the border of Kutahya and Usak provinces, Turkey were studied. A total of 1,166 specimens were examined, and 86 species belonging to 24 genera and five subfamilies (Criocerinae, Cryptocephalinae. Chrysomelinac. Galerucinae. and Cassidinae) were identified. All taxa are newly reported from Murat Mountain, 83 of them are newly recorded from Kutahya Province, and 36 taxa are newly recorded from the Aegean Region of Turkey. In addition. some taxonomic remarks about Aeschrocnemis serbica (Kutschera, 1860) and Cryptocephalus pygmaeus vittula Suffrian, 1848 are provided and discussed with supporting images. The abundance of chrysomelids occurring in the study area by sampling months and their distributions with respect to different altitude ranges were evaluated as well. |
