Havlı, düz, çözgü yüzlü dokumaların pek çok çeşidinin uygulandığı Yahyalı (Kayseri) yöresi, el dokumaları bakımından oldukça zengin bir yöredir. Yahyalı ilçe merkezinde ve köylerinde dokunan halılar, geleneksel özellikleriyle öne çıkmaktadır. Yahyalı’da; halı dokumacılığı uzun yıllar süregelmiş ve varlığını günümüze kadar sürdürebilmiştir. Yörede yetişen hayvanların yün ve kıllarından elde edilen iplikler, yöre halkı tarafından çevrelerinde buldukları bitki ve çamurla boyanmıştır. Önceleri sarma tip tezgahla, 1950 yılından sonra ise esnafın müdahalesiyle germe tip tezgâhta halılar dokunmuştur. Yahyalı yöresinde dokunan halıların kullanım alanları; yere, sedire (somyaya) sermek; yastık ve minder dokumalar, otururken kullanmak; seccadeler ibadet etmek; heybe ve çanta dokumalar ise eşya taşımak vb. içindir. Bu makalenin konusu, Yahyalı’da, halı tekniğinde dokunan minder ve yastıkların tasarım özellikleri açısından incelenmesi ve bu dokumaların, Yahyalı halk kültüründeki yeridir. Yahyalı’da dokunan minder ve yastıkların ilk ne zaman ortaya çıktığı bilinmemektedir. Araştırmada, literatür taraması, alan araştırması, yüz-yüze görüşme yöntemleri kullanılmış; halı tekniğinde dokunmuş, 25 adet minder, 30 adet yastık örneği tespit edilmiş, bunlardan 7 tane minder; 7 tane yastık makalede incelenmiştir. |

Yahyalı (Kayseri) region, where many types of pile, flat and warp-faced weavings are practiced, is a very rich region in terms of hand weavings. Carpets woven in Yahyalı town center and villages stand out with their traditional features. In Yahyalı; Carpet weaving has continued for many years and has survived until today. The yarns obtained from the wool and hair of the animals grown in the region were dyed by the local people with the plants and mud they found around them. Carpets were woven with a winding type loom before, and after 1950, with the intervention of tradesmen, on a tension type loom. Usage areas of carpets woven in Yahyalı region; to lay on the ground, on the sofa (bed); pillow and cushion fabrics, use while sitting; prayer rugs to worship, saddlebag and bag weaving, etc. to carry goods. is for. The subject of this article is the examination of the cushions and pillows woven in the carpet technique in Yahyalı in terms of their design features and the place of these weavings in the Yahyalı folk culture. It is not known when the cushions and pillows woven in Yahyalı first appeared. In the research, literature review, field research, face-to-face interview methods were used; 25 cushions and 30 pillow samples woven in the carpet technique were identified, 7 of which were cushions; 7 pillows are reviewed in the article. |
