Knitted quilted mattress ticking fabrics made of polyester, polypropylene, viscose, lyocell, wool and their blends combined with polyestermid-layer were investigated for their effects on thermal comfort of the bedmicroclimate. For this aim water vapor, liquid absorption and transfer testsand microclimate measurements on the simulated bed microclimate were carriedout. Results showed that lyocell viscose and its blend with linen have betterbreathability, liquid absorption and transfer characteristics and can besuggested for better sweat management within the bed microclimate system.
