Kültürel miras; sosyal, kültürel, tarihsel ve toplumsal değerler olmakla birlikte bölgesel ve ulusal ekonominin önemli bir parçasıdır. Dünyanın Türkiye gibi tarihi ve arkeolojik sit alanları açısından zengin bölgelerinde kültürel miras, genelde turizmde, özelde ise miras turizminde önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Kültürel miras varlıklarının yer aldığı bölgelere, yarattıkları değerler ve sağlamış olduğu istihdam nedeniyle iyi bir gelir kaynağı olabilmektedir. Böylece turizmi, kültür ve mirasla birleştirmek, yerel halka ve yerel ekonomiye önemli faydalar sunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada araştırma bölgesi olarak Eskişehir ilinin seçilmesinde kültürel miras varlığı, turizm potansiyeli, Antik Phrygia coğrafi bölgesinde bulunması, Roma, Bizans, Selçuklu, Osmanlı gibi medeniyetlerin izlerini taşıması ve tarihi değerleriyle Dünya Mirası listesinde yer almış olması etkili olmuştur. Yapılan araştırmada Eskişehir ilinin kalkınmasında somut kültürel miras rolünün incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda Eskişehir ilinin yerel kalkınmasında somut kültürel miras varlıklarının sosyal, kültürel, çevresel ve ekonomik boyutlarına ilişkin yerel halkın tutumları tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma evrenini Eskişehir ilinde ikamet eden 18 yaş ve üstü yerel halk oluşturmaktadır. Bu açıdan Eskişehir il merkezinde yaşayan yerel halktan örneklem grubunu oluşturacak 435 katılımcıya anket formu uygulanmıştır. Ancak katılımcıların tutarsızca doldurduğu tespit edilen veriler analize dahil edilmemiş olup elde kalan 399 anket formu analize tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırma verileri SPSS 26. paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Katılımcılardan elde edilen veriler, frekans analizi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ve bağımsız örneklem T testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda yerel halkın demografik özelliklerinden cinsiyet ve yaş değişkenlerine göre yerel kalkınmaya olan bakış açılarında farklılık olduğu gözlenmiştir. Cultural heritages; It is an important part of the regional and national economy, together with social, cultural, historical and societal values. Cultural heritage plays an important role in tourism in general and heritage tourism in particular in regions of the world rich in historical and archaeological sites such as Turkey. Cultural heritage assets can be a good source of income for the regions where they are located, due to the values they create and the employment they provide. Thus, combining tourism with culture and heritage offers significant benefits to local people and the local economy. In this study, the presence of cultural heritage, tourism potential, presence in the geographical region of Ancient Phrygia, bearing the traces of civilizations such as Roma, Bizans, Selçuklu, Osmanlı and historical values in the selection of Eskişehir province as a research region were effective. In the research, it is aimed to examine the concrete cultural heritage role in the development of Eskişehir. In this direction, the attitudes of the local people regarding the social, cultural, environmental and economic dimensions of the tangible cultural heritage assets in the local development of Eskişehir province were tried to be determined. The research universe consists of local people aged 18 and over residing in Eskişehir province. In this respect, a questionnaire form was applied to 435 participants who will form a sample group from local residents living in the city center of Eskişehir. However, the data that the participants filled out inconsistently were not included in the analysis, and the remaining 399 questionnaire forms were subjected to analysis. Research data SPSS 26. it has been analyzed with the package program. The data obtained from the participants were analyzed by frequency analysis, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and independent sample T-test. As a result of the research, it was observed that there is a difference in the perspectives of local development according to gender and age variables from the demographic characteristics of local people.
