Uzaktan Algılama teknolojileri yerli ve yabancı birçok bilim insanı tarafından uzun bir süredir bilimin farklı dallarında kullanılmaktadır. Yer bilimleri de bu bilimler arasında olup yeryüzünde meydana gelmiş ve gelmekte olan olaylar hakkında devamlı olarak havadan ve uzaydan gelen görüntüler yardımıyla sahaya inilmeden ön bilgiler toplamakta ve bu bilgiler arazi çalışmaları ile desteklenmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı da yer bilimlerinde önemli bir yere sahip mineral alterasyonlarının elektromanyetik spektrumun farklı dalga boyu aralıklarında sağlanan uydu görüntülerinden görüntü işleme teknolojileri ile belirlenmesi ve bu alterasyonların aktif tektonizma ile ilişkisinin belirlenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda tektonik olarak aktif olan Ovacık Fayı, Heltepe-Ovacık Fayı ve Doğu Anadolu Fayı Palu Segmenti üzerinde örnek alanlar seçilmiştir. Mineral alterasyonlarının belirlenmesi için ASTER uydu görüntüsünün Görünür Yakın Kızıl Ötesi (VNIR) ve Kısa Dalga Kızıl Ötesi (SWIR) dalga boyu aralığında elde edilen görüntülerden faydalanılmıştır. Bu görüntülerden mineral alterasyonları Bant Oranları (BR), Bağıl Bant Derinliği (RBD), Temel Bileşenler Analizi (PCA), CROSTA tekniği, Dekorelasyon Germesi (DS), Kısıtlı Enerji Minimizasyonu (CEM), Minimum Gürültü Fraksiyonu (MNF) ve Karışık Ayarlı Eşleştirilmiş Filtre (MTMF) görüntü işleme teknikleri kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre Heltepe Fayı'nın çevresinde meydana gelen alterasyonun büyük ölçüde fay ile ilişkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ovacık Fayı'nda ise fayın belirli kırık sistemleri üzerinde mineral alterasyonları tespit edilmiştir. Doğu Anadolu Fayı Palu Segmenti üzerinde seçilen alanda ise Palu Bölütü fay doğrultusuna paralel uzanan kırık sistemleri üzerinde alterasyon alanlarının yoğunlaştığı görülmüştür. Sonuç olarak mineral alterasyonları ile aktif faylar arasında büyük ölçüde bir ilişkinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Remote Sensing technologies have been used by many local and foreign scientists in different branches of science for a long time. Earth sciences are also among these sciences, and they constantly collect preliminary information about the events that have occurred and are taking place on earth with the help of images from the air and space, before landing on the field, and this information is supported by field studies. The aim of this study is to determine the mineral alterations, which have an important place in earth sciences, from satellite images provided in different wavelength ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum with image processing technologies and to determine the relationship of these alterations with active tectonism. For this purpose, sample areas were sellected on the tectonically active Ovacık Fault, Heltepe-Ovacık Fault and East Anatolian Fault Palu Segment. In order to determine the mineral alterations, images obtained in the Visible Near Infrared (VNIR) and Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) wavelength ranges of the ASTER satellite image were used. Mineral alterations from these images were determined using Band Ratios (BR), Relative Band Depth (RBD), Principal Component Analysis (PCA), CROSTA technique, Decorrelation Stretching (DS), Constrained Energy Minimization (CEM), Minimum Noise Fraction (MNF) and Mixed Tuned Matched Filter (MTMF) image processing techniques. According to the results obtained, it has been determined that the alteration occurring around the Heltepe Fault is largely related to the fault. In the Ovacık Fault, on the other hand, mineral alterations were detected on certain fracture systems of the fault. In the selected area on the East Anatolian Fault Palu Segment, it was observed that the alteration areas were concentrated on the fracture systems extending parallel to the Palu Segment fault direction. As a result, it has been determined that there is a significant relationship between mineral alterations and active faults.
