En önemli doğal kaynaklardan biri olan toprağın kaybedilmesi ciddi bir çevresel sorundur. Bu nedenle toprak erozyonu miktarının daha sürdürülebilir bir düzeye indirilmesi birçok ülkenin başlıca politikalarından biridir. Bunu gerçekleştirebilmek için her şeyden önce aşınımın boyutlarının ve ona etki eden faktörlerin tespit edilmesi gerekmektedir. İfade edilen doğrultuda dünyanın çeşitli kısımlarına odaklanan birçok araştırma yapılmıştır. Ayrıca bir yerdeki aşınımın seviyesini ölçmek için farklı yaklaşımlar veya modeller geliştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada ise Türkiye'nin önemli akarsu havzalarından olan Yeşilırmak Havzası'ndaki sediman taşınımının RUSLE yöntemiyle belirlenmesi ve erozyonun şiddeti ile tektonik aktivite arasındaki ilişkinin açıklanması amaçlanmıştır. Tezde erozyonun seviyesinin jeomorfolojik birimlere, topoğrafik koşullara ve litolojiye bağlı olarak değiştiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmanın asıl odak noktasını oluşturan tektonik aktivite ve sediman taşınımı arasında da anlamlı bir ilişkinin var olduğu görülmüştür. The loss of soil, one of the most important natural resources, is a serious environmental problem. Therefore, minimizing the amount of soil erosion to a more sustainable level is one of the main policies of many countries. First of all, the extent of erosion and the factors affecting it must be determined to achieve this. Many studies have been carried out to this end in various parts of the world. In addition, different approaches or models have been developed to measure the level of erosion in a given place. The aim of this study is to determine the sediment transport in Yeşilırmak Basin, which is one of the important river basins in Türkiye, by the RUSLE method and to explain the relationship between the severity of erosion and tectonic activity. In the thesis, it has been determined that the level of erosion varies depending on the geomorphological units, topographic conditions and lithology. Furthermore, it has been observed that there is a significant relationship between tectonic activity and sediment transport, which is the main focus of the study.
