Bu çalışmada Fen Bilgisi, Sınıf ve İlköğretim Matematik Öğretmenliği bölümlerinde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının fotosentez, solunum ve bitki beslenmesi konularına yönelik kavramsal başarılarının ve muhtemel kavram yanılgılarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini Isparta ili Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi'nde öğrenim gören Fen Bilgisi, Sınıf ve İlköğretim Matematik Öğretmenliği bölümlerinde öğrenim gören öğretmen adayları oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olan Fotosentez, Solunum ve Bitki Beslenmesi Başarı Testi ve açık uçlu sorular Fen Bilgisi, Sınıf ve İlköğretim Matematik Öğretmenliği bölümlerinde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının birinci, ikinci, üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıf seviyelerine gönüllülük esası dışında hiçbir ayrım yapılmaksızın uygulanmıştır. Araştırma 2020-2021 öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan başarı testi, alan yazındaki tez ve makaleler incelenerek öğretmen adaylarının fotosentez, solunum ve bitki beslenmesi konularına yönelik kavramsal başarılarını ve muhtemel kavram yanılgılarını belirlemek amacıyla araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri tarama yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Uygulamada araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü öğrencilere fotosentez, solunum ve bitki beslenmesi başarı testi ile ilgili link gönderilerek doldurmaları istenmiştir. Elektronik ortamda online olarak doldurulan başarı testlerine ilişkin sonuçlar SPSS paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin fotosentez, solunum ve bitki beslenmesi sorularına verdikleri cevaplar çeşitli değişkenler bakımından incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının Fotosentez, Solunum ve Bitki Beslenmesi konularında bölüm, cinsiyet ve sınıf düzeyleri bakımından değişen oranlarda bilgi eksikliklerine ve muhtemel kavram yanılgılarına sahip oldukları değerlendirilmiştir. Fotosentez ve solunumla ilgili alan yazında rastlanmamasına karşın çalışmamızda ilk defa tespit edilen muhtemel kavram yanılgıları ise; "fotosentez büyümek için gereklidir, fotosentez oksijen üretimidir, solunum nefes almadır, solunum fotosentezdir, fotosentez bitkinin gelişimidir, fotosentez enerji üretimidir, fotosentez besin üretimidir, fotosentez bir gaz değişimidir" şeklindedir. In this study, it was aimed to determine the conceptual achievements and possible misconceptions of pre-service teachers studying in Science, Classroom and Primary School Mathematics Teaching departments on photosynthesis, respiration and plant nutrition. The sample of the study consists of pre-service teachers studying at Science, Classroom and Primary School Mathematics Teaching departments of Süleyman Demirel University in Isparta province. The Photosynthesis, Respiration and Plant Nutrition Achievement Test and open-ended questions were applied to the first, second, third and fourth grade the pre-service teachers studying in Science, Primary School and Primary School Mathematics Education departments as data collection tools. The research was applied in the second semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. The achievement test used in the research was developed by the researcher in order to determine the conceptual achievements and possible misconceptions of teacher candidates on photosynthesis, respiration and plant nutrition after examining the dissertations and articles in the field. Research data were collected by survey method. Students who volunteered to participate in the research were asked to answer the research questions in the electronic link sent to them. The results of the achievement tests filled online in the electronic environment were analyzed using the SPSS package program. The answers given by the students to the questions of photosynthesis, respiration and plant nutrition were examined in terms of various variables. As a result of the study, it was evaluated that pre-service teachers had knowledge deficiencies and possible misconceptions on Photosynthesis, Respiration and Plant Nutrition at varying rates in terms of department, gender and grade levels. Although not encountered in the literature on photosynthesis and respiration, the possible misconceptions identified for the first time in our study are; "Photosynthesis is necessary for growth, photosynthesis is oxygen production, respiration is breathing, respiration is photosynthesis, photosynthesis is plant development, photosynthesis is energy production, photosynthesis is food production, photosynthesis is a gas exchange".
