Bu çalışmada SDÜ polikliniğinden ayaktan takipli bipolar bozuluk tanılı ötimik dönemdeki hastalarda ve ailelerinde yaşam kalitelerinin ölçümü, yaşam kalitesi düzeyinin hastanın sosyodemografik özelliklere ilişkin belirleyicilerden etkilenimini saptamak; Bipolar hasta aile bireylerinin yaşam kalitesi açısından nasıl etkilendiklerini ölçebilmek ve hasta verilerini sağlıklı gönüllülerinkiyle karşılaştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmaya, 2010 yılında 4 aylık süre içerisinde SDÜ psikiyatri polikliniğinden ayaktan takip ve tedavi alan ve DSM-IV.e göre .Bipolar Bozukluk. tanı ölçütlerini karşılayan 18-65 yaş arası, en az ilköğretim mezunu, 50 hasta, 50 hasta yakını ve 50 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 150 kişi dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmaya dahil edilen bireylere DSM IV Eksen-I bozuklukları için yapılandırılmış klinik görüşme SCID-I uygulandı. Buna göre çalışmaya Bipolar bozukluk tanısı alan, Young Mani Derecelendirme Ölçeği( YMRS) < 7, Hamilton Depresyon Ölçeği (HAM-D) < 7 ve en az 1 aydır ötimik düzeyde olan 50 hasta dahil edildi. Çalışmaya kapsamındaki tüm bireylere SF-36 yaşam kalitesi ölçeği uygulanarak elde edilen veriler SPSS for Windows istatistik paket programının 15,0 sürümü ile değerlendirildi ve sosyodemografik verileri kaydedildi. İstatistiksel anlamlılık sınırı p < 0,05 olarak seçildi. Çalışmamızdaki sonuçlar; Ötimik dönemdeki bipolar hastaların yaşam kaliteleri hasta yakınları, normal kontroller ve Türkiye ortalamalarına göre düşük bulunmuştur. Bipolar hasta yakınlarının yaşam kalitesi sosyal işlevsellik dışında tüm alt boyutlarda kontrol grubuna göre düşük bulunmuştur. Bizim çalışmamıza benzer birçok çalışmada da bu sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. O halde asıl amacımız; güncel ve etkin yeni tedavi rejimlerine ve sonuçlarına yönelik geniş çaplı araştırmalar yapmak, hasta ve yakınlarının yaşam kalitesini artırmaya yönelik geniş çaplı araştırmalar planlanması bipolar bozukluk tedavisinde yeni yaklaşımlar sağlayacaktır. In this study, the aim was to measure the quality of life in the patients with euthymic bipolar disorder diagnosis who are in outpatient follow-up in the SDU polyclinic and their families, to determine the effect of the socio-demographic determinants on the quality of life of the patients; to measure how the family members of the bipolar patients were affected in the aspect of the quality of life and to make a comparision between the patient data and the data of the healty control group volunteers. 150 people with a diagnosis of .bipolar disorder. according to DSM-IV between the ages of 18-65, who had at least a primary school eduction and who were treated and monitored in the SDU psychiatry outpatient polyclinic in a 4-month period in 2010 were included in the study consisting of 50 patients, 50 patient relatives and 50 control group members. Structured clinical interview SCID-I which was structured for the DSM-IV Axis-I disorders was performed on the individuals included in the study. According to this, 50 patients were included in the study who were diagnosed with bipolar disorder, who had findings of Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS) <7, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D) <7 and who were at an euthymic level at least for 1 month. Data obtained from the SF-36 quality of life scale which was applied to all of the individuals included in the study were evaluated by the SPSS for Windows statistical software package program version 15.0 and the socio-demographic data were recorded. Statistical significance limit was chosen as p<0.05. The results of this study are; Quality of life of the euthymic bipolar patients was found to be lower compared to the patient relatives, normal controls and the average of Turkey. Quality of life of the relatives of the bipolar patients was found to be lower compared to the control group except social functioning. Our study results are similiar to those results obtained in many studies. So our main aim, which is to make large-scale research towards the current and effective new treatment regiments and outcomes and to plan large-scale research activities which aim to improve the quality of life of the patients and their relatives, will provide new approaches in the treatment of bipolar disorder.
