Hastanelerde adli olguların en sık karşılaşıldığı birimler acil servislerdir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, acil tıp araştırma görevlilerinin adli olgulara yaklaşımlarının değerlendirilmesidir. Adli tıp konusundaki eksikliklerin belirlenerek, hekimlerin eğitimleri için veri sağlanması da amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmamız kesitsel analitik tiptedir.Onbir Üniversite ve Eğitim Araştırma Hastanesindeki 186 araştırma görevlisine 20 soruluk anket formu yöneltilmiştir. Beşli Likert Skalası kullanılarak doğru cevapların puanlaması yapılmıştır. Anket formlarına verilen yanıtlar PASW Statistics 18 istatistik programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir.Katılımcıların adli tıp konularından, gizliliğe saygı konusundaki soruya en düşük oranda (%4,3), hukuksal nitelikteki yara tanımlaması ile ilgili olan soruya ise en yüksek oranda (%82,3) doğru cevap verdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların %48,4’ünün yaşamsal tehlike arz eden adli olguların değerlendirildiği anket sorusuna yanlış cevap verdikleri, adli raporda yaşamsal tehlikeyi belirtmedikleri gözlenmiştir. Genel olarak hekimlerin düşük düzeyde (aldıkları ortalama toplam puan: 6,99±3,27) puan aldıkları ve adli tıp konularında yetersiz oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Adli tıp birimi bulunan hastanelerde görev yapan hekimlerin, sorulara istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde, doğru cevaplar verdikleri gözlenmiştir.Sonuç olarak acil tıp asistanlığı sürecinde, asistanlara adli tıp eğitiminin yeterince verilmediği ve adli tıp anabilim dalı ile ortak yürütülecek adli tıp eğitim programlarının düzenlenmesinin gerekli olduğu düşünülmüştür. Ayrıca acil servis hizmeti veren hastanelerde, adli tıp uzmanlarının da konsültan olarak bulunması gerektiği düşünülmüştür. The units in hospitals where forensic cases are most frequently encountered are emergency departments. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the approaches of emergency medicine research assistants to judicial cases. It is also aimed to determine the shortcomings of forensic medicine and provide data for the training of physicians. This was a cross-sectional analytical research.A questionnaire of 20 questions is directed to 186 research assistants in seven University and four Training and Research hospitals. Correct answers were rated by using a 5-point Likert Scale. Responses to the survey forms were evaluated using statistical software PASW Statistics 18.It was determined that the participants gave the correct answer at the lowest rate (4.3%) for the question about the topic ‘respect for privacy’ among the forensic issues and at the highest rate (82.3%) for the question about the topic ‘definition of the legal nature of the wound’. About 48.4% of the participants gave the wrong answer to the question evaluating the life-threatening condition of the forensic cases and did not mention this condition in the forensic report. In general it was evaluated that physicians got low level scores (their average total score: 6.99 ± 3.27) and that they were inadequate in forensic issues. It was observed that the doctors working in hospitals which have forensic units gave correct answers in a statistically significant manner.As a result, it is thought that the assistants are not given an adequate amount of training on forensic medicine during the assistance of emergency medicine and that it is necessary to perform training programs jointly with the department of forensic medicine. In addition, it is also thought that, forensic experts should give consultancy in hospitals providing emergency services.
