Amaç: Yapılan bu çalışmada Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu (OSB) tanısı almış çocukların fiziksel aktivite düzeyleri ile OSB'li çocuğa sahip ebeveynlerinin egzersize yönelik algıları ve bu çocukların ebeveynlerinin stres düzeylerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışmaya OSB tanısı almış 10-18 yaş arası 50 çocuk ve ebeveyni çalışma grubu olarak; Tipik Gelişim Gösteren (TGG) 10-18 yaş arası 50 çocuk ve ebeveyni kontrol grubu olarak alınmıştır. Katılımcıların değerlendirmeleri yüz yüze görüşmeler aracılığı ile alınmıştır. Veri toplama araçları; sosyodemografik bilgi formu, Çocuklar İçin Fiziksel Aktivite Ölçeği (ÇFAÖ), Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği Kısa Formu Türkçe Versiyonu (WHOQOL-BREF), Çocuklar İçin Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği Ebeveyn Formu (ÇİYKÖ), Çocukların Egzersiz Kısıtlılıkları ve Faydalarına Yönelik Ebeveyn Algısı Anketi (ÇEKFY-EAA) ve Ebeveyn Stres İndeksi Kısa Formu (ESİ-KF)'dur. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan OSB'li çocukların %20'sinin kız %80'inin erkek olduğu belirlenmiştir. OSB grubunun fiziksel aktivite puan ortalaması 20,08, kontrol grubunun puan ortalaması 21,59 olarak belirlenmiştir ancak bu fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı değildir (P>0,05). OSB grubundaki ebeveynlerin WHOQOL-BREF ortalama puanının (86,22) kontrol grubundaki ebeveynlerin ortalama puanından (103,70) istatistiksel olarak daha düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0,001). OSB grubundaki ebeveynlerin ÇEKFY-EAA ortalama puanı (126,72) ile kontrol grubundaki ebeveynlerin ortalama puanı (129,44) arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık bulunmamıştır (p>0,05). OSB grubundaki ebeveynlerin ESİ-KF ortalama puanının (101,64) kontrol grubundaki ebeveynlerin ortalama puanından (66,94) istatistiksel olarak daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0,001). Sonuç: Bu çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre; OSB tanılı çocukların ebeveynlerinin yaşam kalitesinin, çocukların kalitesinin anlamlı derecede daha kötü olduğu; OSB tanılı çocukların ebeveynlerinin stres düzeylerinin anlamlı derecede daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Purpose: In this study, it was aimed to examine the physical activity levels of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the perceptions of their parents with a child with ASD towards exercise, and the stress levels of parents. Method: 50 children between the ages of 10-18 who were diagnosed with ASD and their parents were included in the study; 50 children aged 10-18 years with Typical Development (TD) and their parents were taken as the control group. The evaluations of the participants were obtained through face-to-face interviews. Data collection tools; sociodemographic information form, Physical Activity Scale for Children (PAS-C), Quality of Life Scale Short Form Turkish Version (WHOQOL-BREF), Child Quality of Life Scale Parent Form (PEDSQL), Parental Perception Questionnaire for Children's Exercise Limitations and Benefits and Parental Stress Index Short Form (PSİ-SF). Results: It was determined that 20% of the children with ASD participating in the study were girls and 80% were boys. The mean physical activity score of the ASD group was 20.08 and the mean score of the control group was 21.59, but this difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). It was determined that the mean score of the WHOQOL-BREF (86.22) of the parents in the ASD group was statistically lower than the mean score of the parents in the control group (103.70) (p<0.001). No statistically significant difference was found between the Parental Perception Questionnaire for Children's Exercise Limitations and Benefits of the parents in the ASD group (126.72) and the average score of the parents in the control group (129.44) (p>0.05). It was determined that the average Parental Stress Index score of the parents in the ASD group (101.64) was statistically higher than the average score of the parents in the control group (66.94) (p<0,001). Conclusion: The quality of life of children diagnosed with ASD was significantly more affected; It was determined that the quality of life of parents with children with ASD was significantly worse and their stress levels were significantly higher.
