Amaç: Yapılan likert tipi çalışmalarda ortaya çıkan ordinal (kategorik sıralı) veriler sürekli olmaması ve çoğunlukla çok değişkenli normal dağılım varsayımını sağlamadığından AFA ve DFA'da tutarlı, güvenilir ve yansız parametre tahmin yöntemlerine gereksinim olmuştur. DFA uyum istatistikleri tasarı modelin gerçek modelle ne derece örtüştüğünü test etmektedir. Bu uyum istatistiklerinin bazıları örneklem büyüklüğüne bazıları ise madde sayısı ya da serbestlik derecesine duyarlıdır. Örneklem büyüklüğünün uyum indeksleri üzerindeki etkisini araştırmak önemli hale gelmektedir. Bu çalışmada uygulama sürecinde likert tipi ölçeklerin uyarlama aşamasında örneklem büyüklüğünün DFA uyum indeksleri üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Materyal ve Metot: BSEOFB ölçeğinin orijinal hali olan APFCD ölçeği alanında uzmanlarca Türkçeye çevrilmiştir. Örneklem için Akdeniz Üniversitesi bünyesinde 20-65 yaşları arasında bulunan akademik ve idari personelle, üniversitenin farklı birimlerindeki öğrencileri seçilmiştir. 17.02.2022 tarihi ile 25.03.2022 tarihleri arasında çevirim içi araçlarla 440 kişiye ulaşılarak BSEOFB ölçeğinin uygulaması yapılmıştır. Tüm katılımcıların demografik özellikleri incelenmiştir. Ölçeğin uyarlama aşamasında farklı örneklem büyüklükleri ile çalışılmıştır. AFA ile ölçeğin faktörleri ve bu faktörlere yüklenen maddeleri tespit edilmiştir. Ortaya çıkan yapı ise DFA ile test edilerek DFA uyum indeksleri incelenmiştir. Son olarak nihai ölçeğin güvenirlik analizi yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmada 80-200-440 olacak şeklide farklı örneklem büyüklükleriyle ölçek test edildi. Bu süreçte 80 olarak seçilen örneklemde AFA aşamasında KMO testi sonucu yeterli olmaması nedeniyle analizler tamamlanmamıştır. Örneklem büyüklüğü 200 seçilen aşamada AFA ile 5 faktörden ve bu faktörlere yüklenen 24 maddelik bir yapı bulunmuştur. Bu yapı DFA ile test edilerek uyum indeksleri incelenmiştir. Ancak uyum indeksleri referans aralığında çıkmamıştır. Üçüncü aşamada ise örneklem büyüklüğü 440 olarak seçilmiştir. Bu kısımda AFA ile 25 maddelik 5 faktörlü yapı ortaya çıkartılmıştır. Bu yapı DFA ile test edilerek uyum indeksleri incelenmiştir. Uyum indeksleri istenen değerler arasında bulunmuştur. Doğrulaması yapılan yapının güvenirlik analizi yapılarak nihai BSEOFB ölçeği ortaya konmuştur. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada BSEOFB ölçeği ile farklı örneklem büyüklüklerinin Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uyum indeksleri üzerinde etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Background and Aim: Consistent, reliable and unbiased parameter estimation methods were needed in EFA and CFA, since the ordinal (categorically ordered) data that emerged in the likert-type studies were not continuous and mostly did not provide the assumption of multivariate normal distribution. CFA fit statistics test how well the designed model fits with the real model. Some of these fit statistics are sensitive to sample size, while others are sensitive to the number of items or degrees of freedom. It becomes important to investigate the effect of sample size on fit indices. In this study, the effect of sample size on CFA fit indices was investigated in the adaptation phase of Likert type scales during the application process. Material and Methods: The original version of the BSEOFB scale, the APFCD scale, has been translated into Turkish by experts in the field. For the sample, academic and administrative staff of Akdeniz University between the ages of 20-65 and students from different units of the university were selected. Between 17.02.2022 and 25.03.2022, 440 people were reached through online tools and the BSEOFB scale was applied. Demographic characteristics of all participants were examined. He worked with different sample sizes during the adaptation phase of the scale. The factors of the scale and the items loaded on these factors were determined by EFA. The resulting structure was tested with CFA and the CFA fit indices were examined. Finally, the reliability analysis of the final scale was made. Results: In the study, the scale was tested with different sample sizes as 80-200-440. In this process, in the sample selected as 80, the EFA phase was not completed because the result of the KMO test was not sufficient. At the stage with a sample size of 200, a structure consisting of 5 factors and 24 items loaded on these factors was found by EFA. This structure was tested with CFA and its fit indices were examined. However, the fit indices were not within the reference range. In the third stage, the sample size was chosen as 440. In this part, a 5-factor structure with 25 items was revealed with EFA. This structure was tested with CFA and its fit indices were examined. The fit indices were found to be between the desired values. The reliability analysis of the verified structure was made and the final BSEOFB scale was revealed. Conclusion: In this study, it was concluded that the BSEOFB scale and different sample sizes had an effect on the confirmatory factor analysis fit indices.
