Bu çalışma Palyatif Bakım Servisindeki Hasta Yakınlarının Depresyon, Anksiyete ve Stres Durumlarının Ölüme Karşı Tutumlarına Etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma, Kasım 2021- Nisan 2022 tarihleri arasında Palyatif Bakım Servisinde yatan hastaların yakınları ile (N=117) gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kullanılan veri toplama araçları; 'Hasta Yakını İçin Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu', 'Ölüme Karşı Tutum Ölçeği' ve 'Depresyon, Anksiyete ve Stres Ölçeği'dir. Veriler analiz edilirken ortanca, frekans, standart sapma, bağımsız gruplarda t testi, One Way ANOVA, Man-Whitney U testi, Kruskall Wallis ve iki ölçek arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesinde Spearman korelasyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Hasta yakınlarının %68,4'ünün kadın, %58,1'inin hastanın birinci derece yakını olduğu, %78,6'sının evli, %36,8'inin ilköğretim ve altı mezunu olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırmada bakım veren hasta yakınlarının Depresyon (11,15 ± 8,61) ile Anksiyete (8,90 ± 6,93) puan ortalamaları hafif düzeyde ve stres (12,85 ± 8,66) puan ortalaması normal düzeyde bulunmuştur. Ölüme Karşı Tutum (110,09 ± 21,92) puan ortalamaları orta düzeyde bulunmuştur. Palyatif bakım servisindeki hasta yakınlarının depresyon, anksiyete ile stres durumları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı pozitif yönde yüksek düzeyde ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca, depresyon, anksiyete ve stres puan ortalamaları ile ölüme karşı tutum ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki bulunmamaktadır. Bununla birlikte anksiyete ve stres ile ölüm korkusu ve ölümden kaçınma alt boyutu arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı pozitif yönde düşük düzeyde ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu tür negatif duyguların birbirini tetiklediğini ve ölüm korkusunun anksiyeteyi artırdığı söylenebilir. This study was conducted to examine the Effects of Depression, Anxiety and Stress Conditions on Attitudes to Death of Relatives of Patients in the Palliative Care Service. The study was carried out with relatives of patients (N=117) hospitalized in the Palliative Care Service between November 2021 and April 2022. Data collection tools used; The Personal Information Form is the 'Attitudes towards Death Scale' and the 'Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale'. While analyzing the data, median, frequency, standard deviation, independent groups t test, One Way ANOVA, Man-Whitney U test, Kruskall Wallis and Spearman correlation analysis were used to determine the relationship between the two scales. In this study participants, it was determined that 68.4% of the patient's relatives were women, 58.1% were first-degree relatives of the patient, 78.6% were married, 36.8% were primary school graduates or below. In the study, the depression (11.15 ± 8.61) and Anxiety (8.90 ± 6.93) mean scores of the relatives of the caregivers were mild and the stress (12.85 ± 8.66) mean score was normal. Attitude Towards Death (110.09 ± 21.92) mean scores were found to be moderate. It was determined that there was a statistically significant high level of positive correlation between the depression, anxiety, and stress states of the relatives of patients receiving palliative care services. In addition, there is no statistically significant relationship between the depression, anxiety and stress mean scores and the total mean score of the attitude towards death scale. On the other hand, it is seen that there is a low level of positive correlation between anxiety and stress and fear of death and death avoidance sub-dimensions.
