Yalvaç, köklü geçmişinde dericilik ile adını duyuran önemli bir deri işleme merkezidir. Halen tabakhanede doğal bir dolgu malzemesi olan meşe palamudu derilere uygulanarak üretim yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Yalvaç dericiliğinin geçmişteki ve günümüzdeki durumunun belirlenmesi, deri ürün çeşitliliğinin artırılması, sürdürülebilirliğinin sağlanması, güncel teknolojilerin üretim sürecine entegre edilmesi, çeşitli inovasyon yöntemleriyle yöre ve ülke ekonomisine katma değer yaratan ürünler geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın materyalini; yöredeki atölyelerde üretilmiş ve satışı yapılmakta olan deri ürünler, bu ürünlerin çekilmiş fotoğrafları, deri ile ilgili kaynak kişilerle yapılan yüz yüze görüşmeler, konuyla ilgili yazılı ve basılı kaynaklar, geliştirilen tasarımlar ve yeni ürünler oluşturmuştur. Bu çalışmada alan araştırması ve çeşitli inovasyon yöntemlerinden yararlanılmış, atölye uygulamaları yürütülmüştür. Yapılan çalışmalar sonucunda Yalvaç'ta dericiliğin tüm aşamaları ve yörede bulunan deri ürünlerinin tamamı kayıt altına alınmıştır. Deriden üretilmiş ürünlerin kullanım alanlarına göre sınıflandırılmaları yapılmıştır. Yalvaç'ta dericiliğin sorunları ve çözüm önerileri irdelenmiştir. İnovatif ürün tasarımlarında deri ve ahşap birleştirilmiş, Yalvaç kökenli tarihi eserler üzerinde yer alan motifler ve süslemelere yer verilmiştir. Deri ürün yapımında ve süslenmesinde kullanılan 6 farklı teknik inovasyonla geliştirilmiş ve iyileştirilerek kullanılmıştır. Deri dağlama tekniği ile dekoratif deri eşya üretimi kapsamında 15 adet röprodüksiyon levni minyatürü; deri dağlama ve kabartma tekniği ile dekoratif deri eşya üretimi kapsamında 4 adet röprodüksiyon kubadabad sarayı çini örneği ve Yalvaç yöresi el sanatlardan semercilik, demircilik, dokumacılık, nalbantlık, yufkacılık, at arabası yapımı, dericilik, çarpana dokumacılığı, keçecilik ve eyerciliğın canlandırılığı özgün tasarımlardan oluşan 10 adet tablo; ıslatıp kalıplayarak dağlama tekniği ile deri kullanım eşyası üretimi kapsamında 4 adet bıçak kılıfı, su matarası gibi eşyalar; ahşap baskı tekniği ile deri kullanım eşyası üretimi kapsamında tirkeş ve sadak gibi okçuluk malzemeleri, güncel deri kullanım eşyası üretimi kapsamında tablet kılıfı; deri ebrulama tekniği ile deri kullanım eşyası üretimi kapsamında takılar ve aksesuarlar; ürün inovasyonu kapsamında birleştirme tekniği ile çeşitli deri kullanım eşyası tasarımları yapılarak üretilmiştir. Deri obje ile birleştirmede kullanılmak üzere ahşap üzerine, CNC lazer kazıma ve yağlı boya tekniği ile 14 adet röprodüksiyon ahşap kapak yapılmıştır. Ayrıca ürün ve yöntem inovasyonları sektörde konuyla ilgili paydaşlara tanıtılmış, kullanmaları sağlanmıştır. Yalvac is an important leather processing center that has made a name for itself with leatherwork in its deep-rooted past. Currently, production is made by applying acorns, which are a natural filling material to the leathers in the tannery. In this study, it is aimed to determine the past and present status of Yalvac leather, to increase the variabilities of leather products, ensure its sustainability, integrate current technologies into the production process, and develop products that create added value for the local and national economy through various innovation methods. The leather products produced and sold in the local workshops, the photographs of these products, face-to-face interviews with the resource people related to the leather, written and printed sources on the subject, developed designs and new products were the materials of this study. In this study, field research and various innovation methods were used and workshop applications were carried out. As a result of the studies carried out, the all stages of leatherworking and the all leather products in Yalvaç were recorded. The products made of leather were classified according to their usage areas. The problems of leatherworking in Yalvac and their solution suggestions were examined. In the innovative product designs, leather and wood were combined, and the motifs and ornaments on historical works originated from Yalvaç were included. 6 different techniques used in leather product making and decoration have been developed with innovation and have been used with improvement. 15 reproduction levni miniature in the scope of decorative leather goods production with leather etching technique; 4 reproduction inside of decorative leather goods production with leather etching and relief technique examples of Kubadabad Palace tiles and 10 paintings consisting of original designs from Yalvaç region crafts such as saddle making, blacksmithing, weaving, farriery, phyllopastrying, carriage making, leather, cross weaving, felt and saddle making; 4 knife sheaths, water flasks etc of leather goods production using wetting and molding with etching technique; archery materials such as "tirkeş" and "sadak" of leather goods production with wood printing technique; tablet case within the production of modern leather goods; jewelry and accessories within the scope of leather marbling technique and production of leather goods; in the context of product innovation, various leather goods designs have been made by combining technique. 14 reproduction wooden covers were made on wood with the CNC laser engraving and oil painting technique to be used in combining with leather objects. In addition, product and method innovations were introduced to relevant stakeholders in the sector, and they were enabled to use them.
