Her nesne biçimiyle bir sınır çizer, bu sınırlar içerisinde varolur ve tanımlanır. İnsan dünyaya geldiği andan itibaren, bedeniyle bulunduğu çevrede sınırlanırken, yaşamı da doğum ve ölüm arasında sınırlıdır. İnsan önce var olur, var olduktan sonra kendini algılar, fiziksel ve zihinsel sınırlarla da varoluşunu anlar. Tarihsel süreç içerisinde sahip olduğu sınırların boyutları, işleyişi ve buna yüklediği anlam ile neden olduğu değişimlerle kendini ve dünyayı tanımlar. Bir başka değişle sınır, tarihin akışı içinde insanın gelişimi ile birlikte farklı boyutlar kazanır. Hızla değişen ve dönüşen dünyanın ekonomik, kültürel ve siyasal durumu, toplumsal yapının yeniden şekillenmesi, sınır kavramını yeniden tanımlamıştır. Kapitalizm ve küreselleşmenin doğurduğu, kimlik, cinsiyet, din, dil, ırk, etnisite, göç gibi pek çok kavram, dönemin sorunsalı haline gelmiştir. Bu kavramlar insanları sınırlayarak birbirinden ayrıştırır ve yaşadığı topluma ve kendisine yabancılaşmasına neden olmaya başlar. Bu araştırmada, sanatsal söylemlere yansıyan sınır olgusuna dikkat çekilerek, sanatçıların yapıtları bu pencereden irdelenmek istenmiştir. Ayrıca,sınır kavramının nesne, mekân ve insan olguları ile ilintisi ele alınmış, bunların sanatsal ifade biçimlerindeki değişim ve dönüşüm tarihsel süreç de göz önünde bulundurularak irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bununla birlikte önemli sanatçıların yapıtlarından örnekler verilerek kişisel çalışmaların sınır olgusu ile bağlantısı açıklanmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler : Sınır, Mekân, İnsan, Nesne, Çağdaş Sanat.
It draws a boundary with each object form, exists and defined within these boundaries. From the moment one is born, his body is confined to his environment and his life is limited between birth and death. Human beings exist first, perceive themselves after they exist, and understand their existence with physical and mental limits. It defines itself and the world through the changes in the dimensions, functioning and the meaning it imposes on the boundaries it has in the historical process. In other words, the boundary gains different dimensions with the development of human in the course of history. The economic, cultural and political situation of the rapidly changing and transforming world, the reshaping of the social structure, redefined the concept of border. Many concepts such as identity, gender, religion, language, race, ethnicity and migration, which capitalism and globalization have given birth, have become problematic of the period. These concepts separate people from each other by limiting them and begin to alienate themselves from the society in which they live. In this study, it is aimed to examine the works of artists from this window by drawing attention to the phenomenon of border reflected in artistic discourses. Furthermore, the relationship between the concept of boundary and objects, space and human phenomena has been discussed and the change and transformation of these forms of artistic expression have been tried to be considered by considering the historical process. However, by giving examples from the works of important artists, the connection of personal works to the boundary phenomenon is explained. Keywords : Boundary, Space, Human, Object, Contemporary Art.
