The second half of the 1920s in the Early Republic period corresponds to a period in which historicist National Architecture practices were still effective on the one hand, and signs of change emerged on the other. The early publications of the new and contemporary architecture of the magazines, which were published in this process and published in the old alphabet about daily life, also herald the change in the architecture of the country. In the aforementioned context, it is possible to say that Hayat Magazine left an important mark in the period. This article focuses on the articles of the Magazine that introduce and defend the new, contemporary and modern architecture of the period. Within the scope of the analysis of the aforementioned articles, the data drawn from the texts were evaluated in the light of the concepts of modernity as sub-headings. In conclusion, this article draws attention to the importance of Hayat Magazine's early coverage of publications on new architecture, which will be applied widely after the 1930s, in line with the ideology and reforms of the Young Turkish Republic.Erken Cumhuriyet döneminde 1920lerin ikinci yarısı, bir taraftan tarihselci Milli Mimari uygulamalarının halen etkili olduğu, diğer taraftan da değişimin işaretlerinin ortaya çıktığı bir zaman aralığına karşılık gelmektedir. Bu süreçte çıkarılan, gündelik yaşama dair eski alfabe ile yayın yapan magazin dergilerinin yeni, asrî mimarlığa dair erken yayınları, Ülke mimarlığındaki değişimin de habercisi niteliğindedir. Belirtilen bağlamda, Hayat mecmuasının dönem içinde önemli bir iz bıraktığını söylemek mümkündür. Bu makale çalışması, Derginin döneminin yeni, asrî, modern mimarlığını tanıtan, savunan yazılarını mercek altına almıştır. Söz konusu yazıların analizi kapsamında metinlerden çekilen veriler, Modernliğin kavramları ışığında alt başlıklar halinde değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak bu makale, Hayat mecmuasının Genç Türkiye Cumhuriyetinin ideolojisi ve inkılaplarıyla uyumlu olarak, 1930lar sonrasında yoğun bir biçimde uygulanacak yeni mimarlığa dair yayınlara, erken dönemde yer vermesinin önemine dikkat çekmektedir.
