Bu çalışma kent mezarlıklarının işlevlerini,kente kattığı değerleri ve potansiyellerini, planlanması ve tasarlanmasıaşamalarında göz önünde bulundurulması gereken planlama kriterlerini ve kentinyeşil dokusu içerisindeki mezarlık alanlarının yerini ve önemini anlatmayıamaçlamıştır. In this regard, concept, formation and overallhistorical development of the cemetery, open and green field concept, also thevalue and importance of the cemeteries for the city cemetery planningcriterias, etude, analysis and synthesis phases obtained from literature reviewand a proposal for planning and design, was introduced.
