In the elapsed time period,all elements are composed of life principles that contain quantity. The twomost important concepts in the life process we call life are time and beginning- ending concepts. The only thing that the compositions of life, including thebeginning, development, and ending adventure, cannot stand against is time.When we look at the nature we live in, we can observe the transitions betweenthe beginning and the finish line in every second of life. Time-varyingconcepts of life principles of nature are given on the surface of carpets withmysterious expression and geometric rich pattern compositions and motifs.Life's eternity and life awareness in nature; emotions and thoughts are shapedby aesthetic compositions covering the introduction, development and conclusionsections. In Turkish carpet art, compositions with quantity vary. Sky, sun orlarge star group patterns on the middle floor are represented by single orrepeating square - rectangular compositions that represent the specific, non -removable stable structure of life. The other representative of the concept ofquantity in compositions and patterns are the mihrab patterned carpets.Patterns with mihrabs can sometimes have three or sometimes single patterns.The most important issue in the carpets which have an important place inTurkish art is that beyond the functional structures, observation, awarenessand thought are expressed with superior aesthetic understanding and arereflected with highly successful compositions, patterns and motifs.Geçen zaman sürecinde tümunsurlar, miktar içeren yaşam prensiplerinden oluşur. Kompozisyon ve desenlerde miktarkavramının diğer temsilcisi mihrap desenli halılardır. Mihraplı desenler bazenüç, bazen de tek desenli olabilmektedir. Türk sanatı içinde önemli bir yeresahip olan halılarda en önemli konu, fonksiyonel yapılarının ötesinde gözlem,farkındalık ve düşüncenin üstün estetik anlayışla ifade edilerek, son derecebaşarılı kompozisyon, desen ve motiflerle yansıtılmasıdır.
